The Pink Run: D’Feeting Breast Cancer” is an advocacy run organized by the Philippine Society of General Suregons Metro Manila Chapter (PSGS MMC). It will be held at theMcKinley Hills grounds, Taguig City on October 9, 2011. This is a running activity aimed to raise funds and awareness against breast cancer. The objective is to gather funding for the treatment of in...digent patients suffering from this dreaded disease as well as focus attention on breast cancer during and after the event through free breast clinics, educational campaigns, information drives and lay fora. October is considered to be breast cancer awareness month and as such we have chosen to hold it during that time. The event will offerdistances of 3K, 5K, 10K and 15K to choose from.
The Philippine Society of General Surgeons, Inc. (PSGS) is a Fellowship of highly competent, safe, compassionate and ethical surgeons dedicated to pursuing excellence in the art andscience of general surgery as a distinct specialty, recognized for their pioneering achievements in continuing surgical education, training and research, dedicated to promote the welfare of its members, and provide compassionate and quality health care, responsive to the needs of the community. The PSGS is a subspecialty society of the Philippine College of Surgeons recognized by the PhilippineMedical Association. ThePSGS Metro Manila Chapter (PSGS MMC) is one of the 10 chapters of the society and is the largest with a membership comprising more than half the total national membership.
