“Pink Run with the Surgeons" is a nationwide simultaneous event to be held on October 9, 2011. Pink being the color of Breast cancer and October being breast cancer awareness month. This run is held to increase awareness in breast cancer and to help raise funds for indigent cancer patients in our hospital. Money collected from this race will also fund our medical and surgical missions all over Southern Mindanao. This run is jointly sponsored by SPMC, Department of Surgery, Phil College of Surgeons, Phil Society of General Surgeons and the AMUMA Cancer Foundation in cooperation with Smart, Phoenix, Run Club, PhilAm Life, Holiday Gym and Spa, Bayantel.
Race categories are as follows: 1km for cancer survivors only and 4, 8 and 12km open categories. We are inviting all runners young and not so young, elite and newbies to support us in this endeavor. Prizes and freebies await all lucky winners and runners. See you there!!
