The Instinct is a minimum feature, minimum neutral shoe designed for daily training and high mileage. It is built with a semi-curved shape.
The Altra Instinct is built on the principles of "natural" running. With a zero-drop design (heel and forefoot at the same height), the Instinct promotes a mid to forefoot striking pattern. The shoe provides enough protection to be used for daily training. (Due to the zero-drop design, a gradual progression in mileage is recommended for this shoe.)
