PhilHealth Nationwide Run 2013 @ Butuan City – February 17, 2013

Running fever, a hot fitness craze ignited in the Caraga Region by no less than PhilHealth. An astounding excited mob of 3,483 Caraganon runners turned up during the Mindanao Run for Hope last February 5, 2012 in celebration of the 17th Anniversary of PhilHealth. This year, the PhilHealth Run 2013 is even bigger, hosting the first simultaneous nationwide run across 18 cities in the country. This leg of the run will be at the Butuan City Sports Complex (BSC), Libertad, Butuan City.

Proceeds of the run will go to the benefit of the PhilHealth Run’s National Sponsor, the Philippine Children Medical Center, and the regional beneficiaries, Bethany Home and GESU Eucaristico Children's Inc (GECI). Both centers are non-stock, non-profit, non-government organizations that provide free shelter, rehabilitation, and therapeutic services needed by physically and sexually-abused women and children.
