PhilHealth Nationwide Run 2013 @ Tacloban City – February 17, 2013

Tacloban City is located in the northeastern part of the Island of Leyte, one of the islands in Eastern Visayas (Region VIII), a region world-renowned for its natural ecological beauty and diversity and for its historical significance in the Second World War. This leg of the PhilHealth Run 2013, the country’s first simultaneous nationwide run is set in the historical tourist attraction of the Balyuan in Tacloban City.

Proceeds of the run will go to the benefit of the PhilHealth Run’s National Sponsor, the Philippine Children Medical Center, and the regional beneficiary, The Regional Haven, one of the four residential care facilities of DSWD in Region VIII providing temporary shelter and protection to women 18-59 years old who are victims of abuse and exploitation located at DSWD Centers & Institution Complex, Pawing, Palo, Leyte.
